[It had been a busy day in the alchemy workshop, but made the evening that much sweeter a reward. Silicon had blocked out some time in her schedule to meet with Ed, even if it meant working extra hard to make her self-imposed deadline. After flipping the sign from 'open' to 'closed,' and scrubbing weird red plant dye from her hands, Silicon skipped out of the shop. Already, her excitement was too much to contain: She had to hum in order to vent it, like a singing teapot.]
Mm~mmm~mmm! Gonna have a goo~oood tiiime! [With a skip in her step, she made it to their meeting spot.] Ah! Is that Ed? [Raising her voice, she called out to someone she thought she recognized. Maybe a stranger, but hey: She had rose coloured glasses on now. Or maybe Ed coloured? Was Ed a colour?]
Eeeeed! Am I laaate?
omg its an atelier pb. the cutest game of all time.
Weeh? [There it was--the basically trademarked all-purpose noise Ed made to express anything from 'huh?' to extreme surprise, to embarrassment, to confusion. This particular one was a relatively normal 'huh?'-type, distinguishable by the tone and volume of it. Turning his head, he quickly burst into a huge smile and threw his (Ed-colored, I suppose?) hand up to wave hi.]
Silicon! No, you're just in time! The reservations weren't for another fifteen minutes or so.
[Ed had heard of the Absolute Best Dessert Shop in All Endymion, and having a well-established interest (read: borderline obsession) in all things magic had wanted to see if there was anything actually-magical about them. And, of course, if he just happened to have a magical time with the girl he liked on the Academy's time... That'd be fine, right? Right!]
[As she comes to a stop, Silicon still has energy to vent. She bobs back and forth on her heels, nodding to his reassurance and question.]
Oh, thank goodness... And yes, very! I'll have to show you when it's finished. [A giggle escapes her, despite honest efforts to contain her giddiness.] I think I've found a way to enchant tea leaves... Oh! But!
[Her hands come together in a delicate 'clap,' palms pressed.] What about this shop? Did you get a peek inside yet?
Tea leaves..? [As interesting as that sounds already (a new form of potion making?), there's a more pressing question that's been posed to him. His hand goes to the back of his neck and he gives it a small scratch, glancing towards the cafe.]
A-anyways... I didn't get to look inside, exactly, but I did try to get a feeling about the store? I'm not sure if it's interference from all of the traffic, or if the bakers themselves are particularly powerful, but there's some form of magic inside... even if it's just coming from patrons like us.
I-I thought it'd be nicer if we both tried figuring things out beyond that, together. [It's his attempt to be thoughtful.]
I.
